Senior Finance Manager – Sales Finance

Location: Middleton, WI (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Manager – Sales Finance to serve as a strategic partner to our Americas Sales organization. In this role, you will help drive profitable growth across approximately $250M in annual revenue, providing financial leadership, commercial insights, and decision support for key retail customers and strategic initiatives.

You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain Finance, FP&A, Accounting, and Operations to guide pricing strategy, forecasting, customer profitability, and trade investment governance. This role also leads a team of Finance Analysts and plays a key role in shaping the financial strategy behind our customer partnerships.

What You’ll Do

Be a Strategic Partner to Sales

  • Act as the primary finance partner to regional sales leadership and key strategic retail customers
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support customer negotiations, pricing, and promotions
  • Lead analysis on customer and channel profitability to guide commercial decisions

Drive Forecasting, Planning & Insights

  • Own the sales financial forecast, including annual budget and rolling forecasts
  • Align financial forecasts with sales plans and S&OP demand planning
  • Monitor sales, margin, trade spend, and selling costs vs. forecast and deliver actionable variance insights

Lead Pricing & Profitability Analysis

  • Drive price-volume-mix (PVM) analysis and margin performance tracking
  • Partner with Supply Chain Finance and Operations to evaluate pricing and cost actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve margin performance and reduce commercial margin leakage

Oversee Trade Investment Governance

  • Ensure financial integrity of customer programs including rebates, promotions, and trade funding
  • Manage accruals, reconciliations, and reporting for trade investments
  • Partner with Accounting and AR to maintain strong financial controls

Improve Customer Deductions & Claims Management

  • Provide dotted-line leadership to the Deductions Manager
  • Support initiatives to improve claim resolution and root cause analysis
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to reduce customer fines, shortages, and compliance deductions

Lead & Develop the Sales Finance Team

  • Manage and develop a team of three Finance Analysts
  • Provide coaching, development, and performance management
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting, and analytics tools

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA a plus)
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance
  • Experience partnering with Sales or commercial teams, ideally within consumer products or retail
  • Proven experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Deep understanding of pricing strategy, trade investment, and margin drivers
  • Experience with customer profitability analysis
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial systems (SAP, Power BI, HFM preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
