About the Commercial Finance team
The role of the Commercial Finance team is to drive profitable growth by providing financial analysis, insights, and control over commercial activities. We act as financial advisors to the business, helping commercial teams understand the financial implications of their operational decisions. We monitor key performance indicators, analyse variances against plan, providing management with actionable insights to explain performance drivers. We evaluate the financial impact of business strategy, assess the financial viability of new commercial initiatives, and ensure financial processes, compliance and controls are adhered to.
About the role
As the EU Finance Analyst / Business Partner, you will be a critical, independent strategic partner responsible for driving financial performance within the European market. Reporting to the Head of EU Commercial Finance, you will actively partner with the business, execute core FP&A cycles and own the delivery of specific, high-impact commercial projects. This role demands strong analytical capability, a proactive approach to leading your own remit, and the ability to influence key stakeholders across Europe while aligning priorities with global Finance leadership.
What you’ll do
The European Finance Analyst / Business Partner will have ownership over the following areas:
Business Partnering & Strategic Ownership
Act as a dedicated Finance Business Partner to key segments of the EU Commercial and Operations leadership, driving performance and strategic financial discussions.
Execute and own specific regional financial analysis, including customer profitability, pricing reviews, and operational efficiency deep dives.
Lead the development and modeling of ad hoc business cases and investment proposals specific to the European market.
Present performance updates and financial insights directly to management and collaborate closely with the EU Finance Lead on executive-level presentations.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles for the European region, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the targets set by the EU Finance Lead and Corporate.
Take responsibility for tracking and analyzing key components of the European market P&L and regional Operating Expenses, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and maintain robust KPI dashboards and financial models to monitor regional performance and provide timely, actionable insights to commercial teams.
Process & Collaboration
Work in close coordination with the EU Finance Lead to ensure consistency in financial reporting standards, definitions, and processes across the EU market.
Collaborate with Group FP&A, Accounting, and Data Analytics teams to enhance data quality, improve internal reporting tools, and automate finance processes.
Who you are
- 3+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, or Commercial Finance, ideally supporting a specific geographical region or business unit within the FinTech, Payments, or technology sector.
- Proven experience in operating with autonomy in a business partnering capacity, driving independent analytical projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
