About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Finance Professional to join our team on a perm basis, with the opportunity to make a real impact on our business performance. You will play a critical role in enhancing our Group FP&A capabilities, driving system improvements, and supporting the business with best-in-class financial planning, analysis and forecasting.

With a focus on both internal and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting Ocado Group to deliver actionable insights that enable effective decision-making. 

The role combines technical financial expertise with a strong focus on commercial acumen, process improvement, and systems transformation.

Accountabilities

  • Drive the annual budgeting process, long-range plan and regular Group forecasting cycles, including the monthly outlook, through consolidation and challenge of consolidating inputs from Ocado’s different business segments
  • Take ownership of underlying models and data sources that support Group planning and forecasting, ensuring they are updated in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support the business in understanding forecast variances, trends as well as risks and opportunities, providing clear explanations and insights to inform decision-making
  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager and wider Group FP&A team to enhance Ocado’s financial processes through automation and technology to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance - including Commercial Finance FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, Group Finance & Accounting - and the wider business to ensure planning assumptions reflect the latest commercial and operational outlook
  • Provide ad-hoc support on strategic finance projects and support in the preparation of materials for senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders

About you

  • Minimum of 5+ years in an FP&A, Group Finance, or Commercial Finance role
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and data management skills 
  • Experience with Oracle or similar planning systems is desirable
  • Experience in a fast-paced, change-driven environment
  • Ability to interpret complex financial information with a very high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to translate financial analysis into actionable insight
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
