What Is the Opportunity?

The Travelers' Experience team creates solutions to ensure best-in-class experiences for our customers, brokers, employees, and partners.
As the Sr Experience Design Specialist, your focus will be on shaping the user experience across our digital platforms, particularly those for brokers and employees. Working with the wider team, you’ll be driving user research and developing prototypes based on insights to then test with users, along with critiquing designs developed in other areas.
Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.
This role is eligible for a £1,500 new joiner referral bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.What Will You Do?

  • Analyse and design solutions for products and services by helping to improve and create models, concepts, and design elements (e.g., user flows, information architecture, scenarios, personas, interactions, content, visuals, etc.) using judgement and following established design objectives, principles, and standards.
  • Help to plan and execute research and testing activities to gather user experience data, evaluate the usability of solutions, and determine the effectiveness of concepts; analyze, describe, and report results to design stakeholders.
  • Complete heuristic reviews of designs, cataloguing where improvement is needed, making recommendations based on the Travelers Design System, and cataloguing risks to the user experience.
  • Use domain-specific knowledge to execute prioritised work, while identifying and communicating impediments and risks, and adhering to defined scope and objectives.
  • Communicate basic design concepts and decisions, solicit feedback, and prioritise and apply with guidance.
  • Utilise the most appropriate tools, methods, and processes.
  • Help with and take part in personal, team, and practice development efforts, growing your skills and contributing to the advancement of our Experience team and embedding experience within Travelers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Experience in a related field, such as HCI, VCD, Service Design, Anthropology, etc.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Basic or working knowledge of most areas, along with application in one or more areas:
  • Design research.
  • Information architecture.
  • Interaction design.
  • Visual design.
  • Content design (strategy, writing, editing for interaction).
  • Information design.
  • Service design.
  • Prototyping.
  • Presentation and communication.
  • Collaboration and facilitation.
  • Design strategy.
  • Usability testing.
  • Data analysis.
  • Design systems.

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.
  • One year of related experience.
