Vanguard is hiring a Senior ESG Reporting Lead who will be responsible for overseeing and managing Vanguard's global ESG reporting processes. Responsibilities include the monitoring of consistent application of ESG reporting requirements across entities, ongoing updates, and communication and documentation of changes in disclosure requirements.  This role requires a strong ability to deal with ambiguity, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
 

Responsibilities

  • ESG Reporting: Lead the development and execution of Vanguard's global ESG reporting strategy, including the preparation of annual sustainability reports, disclosures, and other relevant documentation.
  • Project Management: Manage ESG reporting projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope. Develop project plans, and timelines.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data from various departments. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and industry groups, to communicate Vanguard’s ESG performance and initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant ESG reporting standards and frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and others.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving ESG reporting processes and implement best practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in in Accounting, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. MS/MBA highly preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a reporting environment.
  • Proven project management experience, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and frameworks, or ability to quickly learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with reporting software.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior management as well as various levels of staff and management across the organization.
