The Role

We’re looking for a passionate equity expert to join our Total Reward team as we continue to scale. You’ll take ownership of our equity programmes and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of TravelPerk’s compensation strategy. 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Total Reward, you’ll work closely with our leadership team and employees to provide strategic advice and insights on equity compensation across Europe and the US. Your expertise will be crucial in helping us improve our position as an employer of choice in tech.

We’re looking for someone who can navigate the complexities of equity compensation to drive innovative solutions, educate and engage our employees, and ensure operational excellence. If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact, we’d love to take you through our plans!

What will you be doing?

Design & Implement: Develop and oversee innovative equity programmes that align with our strategic goals, market trends and locations in the US, Spain, UK and Germany.

Analyse & Strategise: Conduct comprehensive analyses to ensure our equity offerings are competitive and compelling. Utilise data-driven insights to refine and optimise our equity programme.

Educate & Advocate: Serve as the go-to expert on all things equity. Provide guidance and training to employees and leadership on equity plan details, benefits, and best practices. Communicate the value of equity awards effectively to foster understanding and appreciation among employees.

Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with our HR Business Partners and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and compliance of equity programmes. Bring fresh ideas to enhance our equity offerings continuously while supporting your Total Rewards colleagues on wider compensation programmes when needed. 

Manage & Monitor: Oversee the administration of equity awards, including grants, vesting, and exercises. Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting, and manage the equity database to maintain precise records.

What will you need to succeed?

Experience: A seasoned professional with 5+ years in compensation managing equity plans across Europe and the US, preferably within the tech industry.

Expertise: Deep understanding of equity (stock options, RSUs, ESPPs, etc.), market practices, global equity compensation regulations and compliance requirements including reporting of grants to HMRC. 

Analytical Mind: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Always thinking in first principles.

Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly explain complex equity concepts and plans to employees at all levels.

Passion & Drive: Enthusiasm for creating a rewarding employee experience and a proactive approach to challenges.
