Senior Engineering Manager- (m/w/d)

What's the role?
Team:
This team is responsible for managing the portfolio of products and services used in driver assistance and autonomous driving vehicles. The scope covers all related products in HERE's portfolio from standard definition data for driver assistance solutions to centimeter accurate lane data & services for hands free driving. Additionally, the team will develop immersive in-car use cases and software products to highlight the benefits of driver assistance. We handle topics and processes related to creation of new offerings ranging from ideation, pricing, development and taking solutions into the market. To achieve this we participate in various activities with partners and customers to capture the market needs. The team has a vision to make the autonomous driving become a reality for everyone and in every market!
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software solutions across a diverse technology stack, including in-vehicle operating systems, interfaces, and cloud API development. Full End-2-End expertise of client and backend solutions is expected.
• Lead development of enabling data feedback from customer vehicles to facilitate the maintenance of location content via automated processes.
• Collaborate with Tier1s and SoC vendors to create location content specifications for different SAE Level use cases (L1-L3) in order to have the optimized specification allowing for global scaling
• Develop new location service offerings for the pre-development environments primarily running in the cloud to enable simulation and cloud based training for in-vehicle AI models
• Design and implement advanced Graphical UI solutions for ADAS, with a focus on Android development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of application development into broader system architectures.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in automotive software to drive innovation in driver assistance and autonomous systems.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing software to ensure high performance and reliability

Who are you?

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
• 10+ years of development experience for full stack applications including backend and frontend
• 10+ years experience leading development activities
• Strong expertise in location technologies from content creation to delivering E2E solution to customer applications
• Strong expertise in architectural and system design is essential.
• Proven track record in delivering complex products or custom solutions is required
• Very good communication skills in English both written and spoken

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of other in-car operating systems such as QNX and Automotive Grade Linux would be plus
• Experience in working with automotive software is a plus
