About the requirement:

Passionate about engineering within the rail sector? Your next position could oversee the design and delivery of Boldyn’s infrastructure in the London Underground environment. We are on the lookout for a collaborative and innovative Senior Engineer, Transit to join our Boldyn Networks team. Based in our friendly Paddington Office, you’ll work with engineers to design, build, and improve systems that integrate with the existing infrastructure to help our projects succeed.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the Design Engineering Team, you’ll ensure that that all engineering activities are aligned with industry standards and best practices, continuously driving technical excellence, safety, efficiency, quality and innovation. Colleagues will know you for your high-quality outputs with minimal adjustments, and capability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and team members. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:

  • Closely working with other functions (project controls, delivery, finance, commercial, procurement) to facilitate the progress of the programme.
  • Coordinate with leaders within the project to ensure that multi-discipline interfaces are properly addressed with resolution of technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that all project requirements are met through comprehensive design reviews with supporting documentation.
  • Ensuring appropriate processes are deployed for the management of engineering change.
  • Develop and own processes which cover Boldyn’s approach to Fire Compliance, HVAC, Mechanical and Electrical, Civils, Architectural and any other applicable design and engineering disciplines.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budget to meet delivery program milestones.
  • Serve as the technical expert and point of contact for Engineering-related inquiries and issues, coaching others to build their knowledge.
  • Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of right first time, excellent partnership with suppliers and customers with clear ownership identified and applied.

What you’ll bring

  • Expertise in the rail and transit sector, with a strong background in infrastructure development.
  • Complex stakeholder management across multi disciplines across the business
  • A track record of driving innovation and improving efficiency within engineering teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant LU/TFL and Network Rail processes and standards
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to integrate new technologies and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering methods, including requirements management and production of engineering specifications
