Corporate Title Assistant Vice President
Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is one of the leading business departments in the Corporate Bank, working with clients around the globe. It has critical dependencies on IT platforms to service the Bank’s clients. The group has embarked on a front-to-back modernisation of our lending platforms, moving away from manual processes and monolithic architecture to a cloud-compliant, event-driven architecture with reusable technology stacks to achieve the next level of business processes automation.

As a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other engineering teams to understand and solve business problems using technology. Together with the team, you will take ownership of a complex, monolithic Oracle database that lacks documentation and institutional knowledge. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, persistence, and the ability to reverse-engineer legacy logic with minimal guidance.

Your key responsibilities
Maintain, refactor, and optimize a large, undocumented PL/SQL codebase
Manage production and non-production database performance, growth projections and similar strategies, designing database models. Work with central teams to improve performance and manage database related change
Document complex database structures, logic, and dependencies as you uncover them
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable database solutions and provide database expertise to the team
Lead efforts to modernize and modularize legacy database components. Ensure stability and reliability of critical data flows and batch processes
L3 production database support for Exadata and Oracle Databases
Your skills and experience
Hands-on experience in PL/SQL development, ideally within legacy or monolithic systems
Preferably Oracle Certified Master (OCM), proficient in the use of JIRA, git, bitbucket, JAVA, Bash, Shell Scripting
Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS internals, performance tuning, and query optimization
Practical and in-depth knowledge of Oracle databases, Oracle Exadata and database tuning and development including query optimisations, SQL authoring and similar
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Bonus: Experience in modernization projects or transitioning legacy systems to modular architectures
