The Team:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a team focussing on cross-platform initiatives that supports a globally distributed ad serving system that handles hundreds of billions of requests a day. You have the opportunity to take on project initiatives to improve the delivery of our systems, tackle hard technical challenges, and contribute to a small team of passionate individuals.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in the full-stack design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of infrastructure and APIs that support shared services across Magnite platforms

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise

  • Be a creative problem-solver able to design and implement reliable and maintainable solutions to challenging problems

  • Write production-ready code and unit tests that meet both system and business requirements

  • Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues, and ad-hoc questions

  • Work collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver quality software

  • Support operation of services in production

  • Perform design and code reviews

 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 4+ years of working as a software engineer
  • Strong expertise in object-oriented programming languages in general
  • Experience in any of Java / C# / JavaScript / Python
  • Understanding of React applications
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization tools and technologies
  • The ability to work in sprint or Kanban-based methodologies using project and issue tracking tools like JIRA
  • Experience working with source control tools like Git, and development platforms like GitHub/GitLab
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to demonstrable experience in mentoring engineers
  • A visible passion for developing software, creating solutions, and growing people
