Job Description SummaryAs the Senior EHS Manager, Compliance Assurance and Audit Programs you will lead programs to maintain compliance, execute audit programs, reduce risk and deliver EHS excellence at GE HealthCare. You will manage the company’s EHS audit program strategy and set standards for evaluating and sustaining compliance with applicable EHS laws, regulations, and GE HealthCare obligations. You will report to the EHS Governance and Risk Management Leader, and you will be a member of the GE HealthCare Global EHS staff.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of GE HealthCare EHS compliance assurance processes.
  • Develop a strategy for and drive execution of compliance and audit standards globally.
  • Partner with GE HealthCare EHS staff to develop and execute a risk-based EHS auditing plan for compliance, risk reduction, and program execution.
  • Set standards for auditor qualification and training expectations.
  • Train, coach, and mentor audit team members and regional EHS resources on technical and professional skills.
  • Lead key audits at GE HealthCare operations, customer sites, and supplier facilities around the world.
  • Set expectations for and oversee systems to support regulatory compliance monitoring and adherence across GE HealthCare operations globally.
  • Engage in cross-functional GE HealthCare regulatory monitoring process and oversee internal EHS workflow to ensure stakeholder engagement in managing EHS impact of new and changing regulations.
  • Liaise with other audit functions in GE Healthcare including Internal Audit, Sourcing, Quality and Compliance to align coverage and resources and drive out duplication.
  • Oversee audit and compliance-related metrics and events, and work with others to drive proper reporting and follow up.
  • Monitor audit findings to ensure proper closure and conduct trend analysis to identify and address systemic issues.
  • Coordinate EHS subject matter expert support in Ombuds investigations and monitor EHS-related Ombuds concerns for trends.
  • Partner with strategic ISO registrar(s) to manage the annual ISO audit cycle, and develop and execute a strategy for ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 expansions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 10 years of EHS experience 
  • Experience leading EHS management system deployment across large organizations
  • Ability to communicate using English
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% travel

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and lead teams, drive change and interact cross functionally
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside GE (customers and regulatory agencies) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information
  • Working knowledge of Gensuite EHS Management System tools
