We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners

We help everyday runners become outstanding by building an incredible app providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon.

We’re growing extremely fast! In November 2023 we closed a $6.5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. In 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the iPhone app of the year, reflecting the innovation and impact of what we’ve built & in 2025 we were acquired by Strava!

Our ambition is huge: to become the go-to global leading training platform for millions of runners everywhere. We’re growing with purpose and looking for people who want to build something meaningful with lasting impact. With the recent acquisition by Strava accelerating our journey, now is a really magical time to join. 🚀

About This Role

We're looking for a Senior Director of Product to own the strategy and execution for Runna's core product and lead our core-product management team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll set the roadmap, raise the bar for how we build, and drive outcomes across the core training, coaching, and community experience as we scale our global community. It's a rare opportunity to lead the heart of a beloved, Apple-recognised consumer app at a defining moment in its growth.

We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site - 3 days per week in Runna's office based in London, UK.

The Team You'll Join

Product sits at the centre of Runna, working closely with design, engineering, data, and growth to turn real runner needs into experiences people love. You'll lead a team of 10 PMs across our core-product squads, partner with engineering and design, and report directly to Runna’s Managing Director. It's a team with genuine ownership, a high bar for craft, and the pace to match our ambition.

What You'll Do
  • Own Runna's core product strategy and roadmap, and drive execution against clear outcomes.

  • Lead and develop the core-product management team, including managing managers.

  • Partner with the design, engineering, data, growth, and GTM to ship experiences that move activation, engagement, and retention.

  • Make clear prioritisation calls and trade-offs across the core squads.

  • Establish outcome metrics and a strong operating rhythm across the core-product org.

  • Represent Runna's core product in conversations with Strava product leadership.

  • Scale and uplevel the PM function, including its management layer, as Runna grows.

What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Substantial experience leading product management teams, including managing managers across several product areas, in a consumer product business.

  • A track record of owning product strategy end-to-end for a core consumer surface and translating it into shipped outcomes that move business metrics.

  • Strength in both product craft (discovery, prioritisation, experimentation) and people leadership.

  • Excellent cross-functional partnership with design, engineering, and data, and credibility with senior stakeholders.

  • Comfort making data-informed decisions and clear trade-offs under ambiguity.

  • Experience scaling a product organisation and its operating rhythm.

  • Experience in fitness, health, or subscription products is a plus.

  • Subscription, retention, or monetisation product fluency is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

We're offering a salary of £190,000 - £200,000, plus participation in Strava's long-term incentive (stock) programs.

We're also committed to continually evolving our benefits to support you as we grow. Here is a brief overview of what we currently offer in the UK 🇬🇧

  1. 🏢 Flexible working – we typically spend 3 days a week together in our Vauxhall office

  2. 🏝️ 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays

  3. 📱 Free Runna & Strava subscriptions for you and 3 of your friends (get ready to be your friends' fave person or save them for holiday presents!)

Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible. We'll share the specific stages with you at the start of the process, but you can expect a mix of introductory conversations, role-specific discussions, and the opportunity to meet the team.
