Gilead is seeking an exceptional and strategic communications leader to serve as Senior Director, Corporate Communications for the ACE (Australia, Canada and Europe) region

This role will lead internal engagement and corporate communications across Europe, Australia and Canada, developing and delivering integrated communication strategies that strengthen Gilead's corporate reputation, support policy priorities, engage employees and enable business objectives.

The Senior Director will partner across global, regional and local teams to deliver consistent messaging, executive communications and strategic communications counsel in a complex external environment. They will help ensure Gilead's voice is clear, credible and connected across audiences - from employees and leaders to policymakers, healthcare stakeholders, media and patient communities.

This leader will play a central role in strengthening Gilead's corporate communications agenda across ACE: building trust in the company, communicating its role in tackling serious diseases, supporting business priorities, and ensuring internal and external narratives are joined up, authentic and impactful.

The role requires a highly experienced operator with a proven track record across multiple countries and regions, strong matrix leadership capability, excellent judgement and the ability to deliver clear, compelling and measurable communications that influence both internal and external audiences.

Internal Engagement & Leadership Communications

• Drive internal engagement at the regional level,  ensuring employees understand and connect with Gilead's business strategy, priorities, culture and external environment.

• Develop and deliver a strategic internal communications and engagement approach across ACE, helping leaders communicate with clarity, authenticity and impact.

• Create compelling leadership communications, including speeches, event,

presentations, briefing materials and employee messages.

• Strengthen alignment by ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging across markets while allowing for local relevance and cultural nuance.

Corporate Communications, Policy Communications & Reputation Leadership

Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that enhance Gilead's reputation, support business priorities and advance key policy, access and advocacy objectives across the ACE region.

Shape and deliver compelling corporate and policy narratives that clearly communicate Gilead's purpose, strategy, impact and role as a trusted healthcare partner, while translating complex policy, access and scientific topics into clear, persuasive and impactful communications.

Provide strategic counsel on corporate positioning, reputation management, public policy communications, stakeholder engagement, issues management and external advocacy opportunities.

Partner closely with Government Affairs, Public Affairs and cross-functional leaders to develop coordinated communications approaches that align corporate reputation, policy, access, advocacy and commercial priorities.

Identify opportunities to strengthen Gilead's visibility, credibility and influence through executive communications, thought leadership, external engagement, media relations, digital content and advocacy platforms.

Ensure all communications activities reinforce a consistent Gilead voice and support the company's long-term reputation, policy and access ambitions across the region.

Content Excellence, Channels & Storytelling

• Ensure a consistently high bar for written communications, with first-class English writing as a core requirement.

• Develop clear, compelling and persuasive narratives tailored to diverse internal and external audiences.

• Design and deliver integrated, multi-channel communications programmes across digital, video, live, media and internal platforms.

• Maximise reach and impact through modern, multimedia storytelling approaches and continuous improvement of channels.

Performance & Impact

• Measure communications impact and continuously optimise programmes based on insights.

• Define, track and report clear KPIs and success metrics aligned to communication goals.

• Use insights, feedback and data to improve effectiveness, engagement, consistency and value creation.

• Maintain a strong focus on outcomes, impact and measurable contribution to business and reputation objectives.

Key Capabilities

• Strategic and highly executional.

• Strong corporate communications judgement and reputation mindset.

• External perspective with policy awareness.

• Collaborative and influential across complex stakeholder groups.

• Clear, compelling and authentic communicator.

• Strong judgement in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

• Focused on impact, outcomes and measurable results.

Why this role matters This role is central to ensuring Gilead's voice is clear, credible and influential in the external environment, while also ensuring employees across ACE are aligned, engaged and empowered internally. By integrating corporate communications, policy communications and internal engagement, the Senior Director will help strengthen Gilead's reputation, support policy priorities, enable business objectives and position the company as a trusted partner in healthcare and a leader in tackling serious diseases across the ACE region.
