Senior Director, Commercial Enablement

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat — and our merchant partners sit at the heart of that mission. As we continue to scale globally across restaurants, grocery, retail, and new verticals, we’re investing in the next phase of our commercial capability. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve partners worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.

We’re looking for a Senior Director, Commercial Enablement to join our London team. In this senior, high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, you’ll own and elevate how our merchant-facing teams operate worldwide, setting global standards and driving adoption at scale.

Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll lead a team of 40+ specialists and sit on the Merchant Leadership Team. This role exists to raise the bar across how we operate globally, bringing consistency where it matters and flexibility where it’s needed across hundreds of frontline commercial roles.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Global Standard Setting: Own the commercial agenda end-to-end, defining standards for the full merchant lifecycle—from acquisition and onboarding to growth and off-boarding.

  • Product & Tech Partnership: Shape scalable, automated, and AI-enabled merchant-facing tools in collaboration with Product and Tech leaders to improve efficiency and commercial outcomes.

  • Go-to-Market Execution: Lead the rollout of merchant-facing process and technology changes, ensuring high adoption rates across diverse, matrixed commercial teams.

  • Scaled Engagement: Oversee B2B CRM, web, and paid channels to drive partner acquisition and engagement through evergreen merchant content.

  • Performance & Incentives: Design and evolve commercial reporting, metrics, and incentive structures in partnership with Data Science and Analytics to support global decision-making.

  • Commercial Learning: Own the L&D agenda, ensuring frontline teams globally possess the frameworks and skills needed to deliver a world-class merchant experience.

  • Inclusive Leadership: Build and coach a high-performing enablement organisation while influencing the wider commercial population through a complex matrix structure.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring senior commercial leadership experience and the resilience to operate at scale in fast-moving environments:

  • Senior Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading large, multi-market commercial, enablement, or sales organisations, ideally within a marketplace or high-volume B2B environment.

  • Driving Adoption: A strong history of successfully embedding new processes, tools, and ways of working across large, geographically dispersed frontline populations.

  • Matrix Navigation: Experience influencing Executive-level stakeholders and senior leaders without direct authority in a highly matrixed organisation.

  • Data-Led Judgment: A structured, analytical approach combined with the mental agility to adapt global best practices to local, real-world contexts.

  • Product Fluency: Comfort partnering deeply with technical teams to shape automation and platform-led solutions.

  • Operational Resilience: High energy and the appetite to operate at pace within a constantly evolving, high-growth business.
