Senior Digital Marketing Specialist - Paid Search & App

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our Performance Marketing team is the engine room of Deliveroo’s global growth—leveraging cutting-edge technology to connect millions of customers with the food they love. If you are a data-obsessed marketer who thrives on optimising high-spend, complex accounts and wants to influence the trajectory of a global tech brand, this is the team for you.

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist - Paid Search & App to support the growth of our global Performance Marketing programme. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in meeting our revenue and efficiency targets, with direct accountability for driving global performance across Paid Search and App channels.

Get to know our Brand & Experience team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Performance Marketing team. We balance short-term performance with long-term growth objectives, staying at the forefront of digital innovation to ensure Deliveroo remains a market leader.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Strategic Roadmapping: Work with the Paid Media Director to develop and execute Paid Search and App strategies, building channel roadmaps that deliver on both revenue and efficiency targets.

  • Hands-on Optimisation: Manage complex, high-spending global programmes across Google Ads (Search & UAC) and Apple Search Ads (ASA), refining campaign structures and bidding strategies to maximise ROI.

  • Innovation & Partnerships: Lead relationships with platform partners to identify new opportunities. You'll be the first to test and adopt emerging products and beta features to keep us ahead of industry trends.

  • Testing & Experimentation: Develop and execute A/B and incrementality tests. You’ll partner with Data Science to validate the impact of your experiments and drive continuous performance improvement.

  • Data-Led Insights: Use enterprise analytics tools like Looker to translate data into actionable recommendations for investment decisions and to counter competitor activity.

  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to suggest technical improvements—from feed optimisation and automation to tracking enhancements—that improve efficiency.

  • Budget Accountability: Take full ownership of budget delivery, ensuring planned spend is achieved and proactively managing any variances with clear, contextual recommendations.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Technical Search Mastery: Significant hands-on experience (typically 3–5 years) managing large-scale Google Ads (Search, UAC) and Apple Search Ads (ASA) campaigns.

  • Analytical Rigour: Highly data-driven and comfortable using enterprise tools (e.g., Looker) to identify trends, diagnose account issues, and recommend optimisations.

  • Experience at Scale: Proven ability to manage complex, high-spend campaigns across multiple markets, ideally within e-commerce or marketplace environments.

  • Automation Aptitude: Familiarity with automation, scripts, and ad platform APIs is a strong plus for driving operational efficiency.

  • Test-and-Learn Mindset: A proactive problem solver who embraces experimentation and iterative optimisation to deliver sustained, incremental growth.
