The Role…
Working in an agile, global team, you will lead research activities, working closely with stakeholders, designers, engineers, data scientists and product managers. Your communication and collaboration excellence will be essential to uncovering and defining the insights to drive design decisions that best meets the needs of our users
You will do…
- Take ownership for the management and implementation of end to end research and testing methods (discussion guides, interviews, surveys, observation) to uncover user needs and behaviours.
- Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to identify research opportunities and prioritise activities that align with business goals.
- Lead and facilitate workshops and testing sessions to gather insights and help drive design decisions
- Translate complex data into strategic insights and clear concise recommendations, including reports, presentations, and workshops, to communicate research insights effectively to team members and stakeholders, (internal and external)
- Collaborate with designers to integrate research into design decisions and testing sessions, helping to generate a wide range of ideas for improving the user experience
- Work across our internal teams to ensure we are sharing the findings and insights to steer decision making.
- Articulate the value and benefits of user research, mentoring product and design colleagues on best practices for embedding research into product development.
- Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve the impact of user research.
- Maintain all required skills and complete necessary training and act in line with our values and Code of Business
What you need…
- 5+ years experience as a mixed-method researcher, with a strong emphasis on qualitative research
- Agency/Consultancy and in house experience
- Experience in complex, data heavy B2B SaaS solutions
- Experience in conducting user research for advanced data analytics platforms
- Previous experience within Retail technology
- Experience in synthesising research using Dovetail
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
- Skills at prioritising and delivering research in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
- Basic UX design knowledge, advantage if you have experience in Object Orientated UX
- Experience in collaboration and Communication tools (Slack, Miro, Figjam, Dovetail, Askable, Jira, Microsoft Office)
