Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform & Site Reliability Location: Nottingham, UK | Team: LSEG Risk Intelligence Engineering
 

Are you passionate about building scalable, secure, and resilient platforms that power global Risk Intelligence products?
 

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help drive innovation, implement modern DevOps practices, and contribute to the evolution of our cloud-native infrastructure.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation that powers our platforms:

• Automate full-stack infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitOps workflows

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS and Istio Service Mesh for service discovery, traffic management, and observability

• Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with development and business goals

• Continuously improve systems through automation, performance tuning, and process optimization

• Contribute to our DevOps culture, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team
   

• Cloud expertise in AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation

• Container orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS), Istio Service Mesh

• CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI (preferred), Jenkins, Bitbucket

• Scripting & automation: Bash/Shell, Python

• Security best practices: IAM, KMS, encryption in transit/at rest

• Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar

• Agile & DevOps culture: GitOps, SRE principles, Agile methodologies

• 4+ years in DevOps or platform engineering roles.

• Proven experience building and operating cloud-native platforms

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• A passion for automation, developer enablement, and continuo
