About the Department

The Property Development function is responsible for all aspects of developing properties. From sourcing development deals, initial planning, negotiating contracts, design, engineering, and financing, to the completion of construction and leasing.

About the Role

The role of the Senior Development Manager is to manage development and construction risk by way of design briefs, budgets and programme, consultant services, and appointments, as well as the co-ordination and control of planning and design teams. You will also manage the design, procurement and delivery of developments and major/complicated Asset Management construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset reviews

  • Feasibility studies and commercial appraisals

  • Planning Strategies and repurposing

  • Site acquisition (Utilising developer network for stock as well as DD development constraints etc)

  • Development and construction risk management

  •  Preparation of design briefs budgets and programme

  • Consultant services and appointments and coordination and control of planning and design teams

  • External stakeholder management

  • Manage design and procurement and delivery of developments

  • Manage procurement and delivery major/complicated Asset Management construction projects

  • Negotiate Development Agreements AfLs and JV’s

  • Management and ownership of capex budgets

  • Managing /Monitoring development Fundings

  • Strategic Technical ad hoc advice to FM’s and DM’s

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience as a Senior Development Manager essential

  • Working knowledge of the Building Safety Act

  • Experience using Argus Developer preferred

  • Extensive experience of project management and delivery

  • Advanced Excel skills
