The Senior Developer in Risk Technology will design and develop applications to support the Risk Management Team, collaborate with team members, mentor junior developers, and provide support for existing applications.
Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
We are looking for a senior developer to join our risk technology team. This person will take a senior role in helping to develop the firm’s risk technology framework, and work closely with senior members of the technology and risk management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop applications for supporting Risk Management Team.
- Communicate and work closely with Risk Management team.
- Mentor junior members of the team
- Provide support for existing applications.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience
- Ability to program in Python, Java, C# or Scala
- Experience with various AWS technologies (Redshift, Batch, Airflow, Lamba, etc)
- Experience with MySQL, REDSHIFT, Oracle, SQL Server
- Experience in database design for both batch processing and reporting
- Experience in building ETL processes
- Experience working in third party systems (e.g. Risk Metrics, Bloomberg AIM and others).
- BA/BS degree in STEM or equivalent experience
