Bring your skills to the mix as a Senior Design Manager, you'll play a vital role in every aspect design management on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

We specialise in all aspects of river and coastal engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy and Cities & Development. We continue to provide industry-leading river and coastal engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom office.

Your Purpose: 

  • Deliver technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. 
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. 
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. 
  • Understand, communicate and manage project risks. 
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design. 

What you can bring: 

  • Chartered Civil Engineer. 
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build. 
  • Knowledge of coastal defences, flood walls and embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access and accessibility, and construction logistics. 
  • Familiarity with current UK design standards, guidance and working practices. 
  • Proficiency in delivering both traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies. 
  • Sound commercial, contractual and programme experience.

    We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

    This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
