Senior Design Manager, Creative Innovation Lead, LEGOLAND® Parks

The LEGO Brand Park & Experience (LBPX) team brings the LEGO brand to life across LEGOLAND attractions including water parks, theme parks, and hotels.

In this role you'll design and create new never seen experiences with Merlin Entertainment’s creative and commercial teams to elevate the guest experiences at LEGOLAND branded attractions.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the experience design for many new, different LEGO branded location based experiences, from observation and ideation, through prototyping to implementation
Stay updated on the location based industry trends; explore new technologies, platforms, mechanics, or interactions to enable innovative play and brand experiences
Lead internally funded innovations, including LEGO-themed food and beverage experience projects
Facilitate daily conversations and sparring with Merlin Entertainment for a premium partnership experience
Work with the teams to secure the needed data and insights to inform short term and longer-term decisions
Establish new processes and ways of working with internal and external partners

The LEGO Brand Park & Experience (LBPX) team brings the LEGO brand to life across LEGOLAND attractions including water parks, theme parks, indoor family entertainment centers and hotels.
Merlin Entertainments Group is the second largest theme park operator in the world with over 100 million guests annually. Among others, the group owns and operates 10 LEGOLAND Parks, 9 LEGOLAND Hotels and 4 LEGOLAND Water Parks with more than 18 million guests a year.
The LBPX team supports the broader organization by the mission to amaze and engage all LEGOLAND visitors, families with children age 2-12.
Do you have what it takes?
Holistic design strategy, innovation background and proficiency within the field of innovation
Experience in themed entertainment category design and knowledge
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating compelling immersive play experiences
Ability to demonstrate rapid prototyping skills, visualization, and UX design
Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with partners
Experience in premium brand experience design an advantage
People leadership an advantage
