Essential Job Functions:
Installing and configuring database binaries
Writing and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasks
Investigating and implementing automation of processes
Perform routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoring
Troubleshoot database related issues
Perform patching and upgrades to ensure data security
Be able to work 5 days onsite in Central London
Desirable Skills and Technologies:
Administration experience in a database technology such as MongoDB, MySQL, etc
Experience of OS such as RHEL and Windows Server
Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS
Knowledge of database monitoring tools, such as OEM and Nagios
Experience in scripting, such as Python
Knowledge of database server clustering, failover, and disaster recovery
Experience in database replication software, such as Data Guard, Replication Manager for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB ReplicaSets
Experience in backup/recovery procedures and scripting
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience in infrastructure technology management
Proficiencies in project management and technical knowledge
A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
