Overview

As a Senior Data Product Manager for Martech, you will define and execute a data product strategy that unifies marketing teams, data insights, data capabilities, and martech data squads. You’ll determine the “what” and “why” of the product—prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, user needs, and ROI—while partnering closely with Engineering to ensure technical feasibility, high-quality execution, and timely delivery. Your work will enable our organization to optimize marketing spend, measure attribution effectively, and build cutting-edge martech tools that enhance customer acquisition efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Product strategy & vision

  • Develop a clear martech data product vision and long-term strategy for the marketing data and tooling ecosystem, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Continuously assess market trends, internal feedback, and emerging technologies to refine product direction.

Defining the “What” and “Why”

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders (Marketing, Data & Insights, Engineering) to uncover unmet needs and business opportunities.
  • Clearly articulate problem statements, expected business impact, and success measures (KPIs, adoption metrics) for each product initiative.

Roadmap & Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate vision, context, goals, and expectations to ensure alignment across teams.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into a prioritized short, medium, and long-term product roadmap.
  • Make data-driven decisions that balance immediate stakeholder needs with long-term strategic growth.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner with the Senior Engineering Manager (and engineering teams) to transform the “what” and “why” into a realistic and achievable technical plan.
  • Collaborate closely with other functions (Marketing, Data & Insights, Product Managers, Operations) to gather feedback, manage dependencies, and set shared objectives.

Execution & delivery

  • Maintain a tight feedback loop with Engineering to ensure product requirements are understood and feasible.
  • Champion Agile methodologies (or relevant frameworks) for efficient iteration, clear milestones, and high-quality releases.
  • Ensure each initiative moves forward with well-defined success criteria—Problem to solve, Business Impact, and Success Measurement—and track progress against those metrics.

Performance & impact tracking

  • Define data product success metrics and implement robust tracking methods to monitor product performance and usage.
  • Analyze data to assess product impact, generate insights, and make iterative improvements or pivots as needed.
  • Communicate progress and results to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Domain expertise & thought leadership

  • Act as the go-to authority on marketing measurement frameworks, martech tooling, and marketing data points.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, competitive landscapes, and emerging data technologies to keep our martech stack ahead of the curve.

Communication & evangelism

  • Own internal and external communications about product vision, roadmap updates, and key wins.
  • Act as an evangelist for data-driven marketing approaches, promoting adoption of martech tools across the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative, open culture that values experimentation, continuous learning, and iterative improvement.

Qualifications

Education & experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 6–8+ years of product management experience, preferably in data-focused or martech environments.

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Solid understanding of data analytics and marketing measurement frameworks.
  • Proven experience with marketing technology (e.g., campaign automation, CRM, personalization tools) and modern data tooling.

Product Management Skills

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineering, design, analytics) in an Agile or Scrum setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value, ROI, and user stories.
  • Skilled in roadmapping, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder management.

Strong differentiator

  • Experience with complex martech ecosystems, marketing data platforms, or customer data platforms (CDPs).
  • Previous experience driving large-scale data product initiatives, from ideation to launch.
