Our client - a global tax services, software, and technology firm - is the largest company in the world dedicated exclusively to business taxes. With global headquarters in Dallas, Texas, the firm provides an integrated suite of federal, state, local, and international tax services on a multijurisdictional basis, including tax recovery, consulting, advocacy, compliance, and technology services.
Responsibilities:
- Create domain models based on the client's tax domains.
- Model ERP data (SAP, Oracle) and their underlying objects (AP Invoice, Chart of Accounts, Rent roll, etc.) into a Canonical data model with a common Ontology as per the client’s requirements.
- Investigate the ERP systems of key clients to understand how they store specific business objects, including the fields and data types used.
- Define the canonical form of these business objects for the client, including fields, data types, and whether they are mandatory or optional.
- Develop an approach for data transformation when receiving the relevant business objects from various clients.
- Document requirements and develop data models using Erwin.
- Establish and enforce data modeling standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with data architects, database administrators, and development teams to implement and maintain data models.
- Create documentation that outlines data sources, data movement, data transformation, and data modeling approach.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all data models.
- Provide guidance and support to junior data modelers and analysts.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of commercial experience as a Data Modeler/Business Analyst.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and U.S. tax documents.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices.
- Proficient in SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with data modeling tools, specifically Erwin.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Team player, responsible, and hardworking.
- Advanced level of English.
- Ukrainian language Advanced or higher.
