Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer at Northern Data, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will focus on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our data pipelines and storage solutions, which are critical for our data-driven decision-making processes.
This opportunity will enable you to work closely with both our Data Team and BI Team to develop and implement robust data solutions. You will be responsible for optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams, ensuring data quality, and driving best practices in data management.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence, analysts, and product teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues proactively.
  • Lead efforts to enhance data quality and drive automation of data processes.
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure data is readily available for analysis and reporting.

  • Manage data transformation workflows and enable self-service data analytics for business users.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data related roles.
  • Deep knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) and data platforms (e.g., Databricks). Excellent python knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Experience with tools for data transformation and modeling (e.g. DBT).
