As a Senior Data Analyst at Blacklane, you will be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Your role will involve developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their data needs, and conducting advanced statistical analyses. You will ensure data integrity and accuracy, communicate findings effectively, and contribute to the strategic direction of our data division within the engineering department. YOUR CHALLENGE:
  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track key metrics.

  • Own part of our data transformation layer where we apply data modeling techniques (via dbt) to transform raw data into analytics-friendly data assets

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.

  • Conduct advanced statistical analyses and predictive modeling to support strategic decision-making.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous validation and quality checks.

  • Develop domain expertise in a set of business domains (e.g. Product, Marketing, Operations or Sales) to become a valuable partner to our business stakeholders

  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

 

 ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

  • Experience in data modeling using DBT

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling is a plus.
