As we scale, your expertise in energy-focused data analytics will be crucial in helping us deliver strategic insights and drive business decisions across the organisation. You’ll play a vital role in both the operational and strategic aspects of our energy initiatives.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Consultative Leadership: Spearhead initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders, employing a consultative approach to distil complex requirements into robust data / analytics approaches.

  • Data Mastery: Use your expertise in data to manage large, complex datasets while applying the best analytics techniques, from advanced segmentation to root cause analysis.

  • Impact-Driven Decision Making: Passionate about impact, whether unpacking the why, delivering optimal customer intelligence data products or delivering powerful insights empowering the organisation to be data driven.

  • Insightful Storytelling: Comfortable in “storytelling” and visualisation, delivering insights and recommendations in a clear, relevant and action-oriented manner to senior members of the organisation.

  • Technical Project Leadership: Oversee complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Apply best practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency in your results.

  • Talent Development: Mentor and coach junior data analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Are we the perfect match?

  • Experience in the energy sector (ideally smart metering or MHHS)

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Senior Data Analyst, with advanced SQL and Python skills, along with expertise in advanced analytics techniques such as modelling, segmentation, and predictive analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to non-technical audiences, turning complex data into actionable insights.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced ambiguous environments and collaborate team settings.

  • Passionate about data impact.

It would be great if you had:

  • Expertise in modelling and customer segmentation

  • Advanced tools knowledge; proficiency in Tableau, cloud platforms (such as DataBricks), Git, and other analytics tools that support collaborative development and efficient data pipelines.

  • Relevant degree or equivalent (e.g. statistics, mathematics etc).

  • Location –based out of Farringdon, London or Nottingham (2 days in office), but can be flexible on this and location based on the right candidate - with travel to our other sites when required. 

  • Working environment: Flexible hybrid working – a blend of in the office and home working. 

  • Work life balance – we work Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM to service our customers and make sure they have an unforgettable experience. 

  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays each year – this includes a guaranteed day off for your birthday if you want it.
