Description

n8n is a low-code platform for workflow automation and AI app integration, designed for technical users. It simplifies connecting to any app or API and enables the incorporation of AI into business processes. n8n is and has a passionate and engaged community of builders!

We were founded end of 2019 and currently:

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 We’re a diverse team of + 50 talented people

🚀 Our annual recurring revenue is growing 5x year-over-year

⭐️ With +44k GitHub stars, we are in the top 0.0001% most popular projects on Github

🌱 We now count a total of $20m in funding: we were Sequoia's first seed investment in Germany, and most recently secured a Series A extension (February 2024)

We are looking for our first Product Analyst for the product team. this will be an opportunity to set up the function from scratch. We already collect a ton of data via the telemetry in our app, but so far we have had no one dedicated to getting insights out of it. Your mission will be firstly to turn n8n into a truly data-centric organization, which prioritises the use of data in decision-making. And secondly to make our data more accessible, so that everyone can generate insights from it, regardless of their skill level.

Data curation

  • Clean, parse, and validate datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Standardize data formats and naming conventions to build a strong foundation
  • Identify gaps in data collection and collaborate with Engineering to fill them

Data consumption

  • Create and define key product metrics, and ensure we measure them consistently and accurately
  • Build and maintain the dashboards that let us visualize metrics and track business performance
  • Run ad hoc diagnostic, prescriptive or predictive analyses (e.g. to figure out why something may have happened, or to understand what drives metrics)
  • Proactively and independently seek answers in our data (e.g. create different user segments to explain differences in retention, or identifying the features which most drive increases in product usage)
  • Support PMs to prioritize initiatives, and set meaningful goals

Ops, tools & processes

  • Own our CDP, Rudderstack, and our data warehouse, BigQuery
  • Own our business intelligence tool, Metabase, together with one other Data Analyst
  • Set up a system and tools to manage your work roadmap
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation around our data to improve transparency and ensure data is well-contextualised, and can be widely used
  • Build and encourage a data-driven company-wide culture
Requirements

Must-have

  • 5+ years of relevant experience interpreting data in an analytics, data science or business intelligence role
  • Pro knowledge of SQL
  • Experience working with Product teams
  • Experience in an early-stage data team
  • Basic knowledge of statistics (e.g. correlation vs. causation, multicollinearity, skew)
  • Proactive and curious: identify opportunities for analysis, and keep asking ‘why’ until you get to an explanation
  • A builder, able to independently define and prioritize a roadmap, set up tools, systems and processes and create organization-wide change
  • Laser-focused on business impact, with a bias for action

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with our tools (BigQuery, Rudderstack, Metabase)
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Experience with causal inference

💪 Ownership: Our core value is to “empower others”, and we give you a slice of n8n in the form of equity.

🏖️ Work/life balance: We work hard, but make sure everyone can properly recharge their batteries with 30 days holiday, plus public holidays wherever you are.

📈 Career growth: We are looking to hire 'rising stars', who can grow with the company into more senior roles. We give you €1k a year to spend on courses, books, events and coaching, to support you in developing your career.

🤩 A passionate team: We love our product, and we have regular office hackathons to see who can build the coolest thing with it!

🌏 Remote-first: Our team works remote from anywhere within Europe but we have regular off-sites to help build team bonds and alignment.

🙏 Transparency: We all know what everyone’s working on, how’s the company doing — the whole shebang.

🤝 Giving back: We're big fans of open source, and you'll get $100 per month to support projects you care about.

😍 Ambitious but kind culture where people love to work - our eNPS for 2024 is 94!
