As a Senior Customer Due Diligence Analyst, you will lead complex reviews, manage stakeholder communications, partner with teams to automate processes, and ensure compliance with risk parameters.

- We’ll look to you to act as the primary escalation point for CDD Analysts, providing guidance on tricky cases and reviewing recommendations before they go to the Manager.
- This is a chance to achieve excellent exposure, as you liaise with stakeholders, and act as a visible presence and ambassador for this area
You’ll be a key Senior in our Exits and Screening team, executing our controls for Mettle and NatWest Boxed while acting as the operational anchor for our Analysts. You will handle the trickier cases and partner with technical teams to help us spot ways to make our processes smarter.
You’ll also
- Manage complex reviews triggered by PEP, Sanctions, and Adverse Media screening, alongside processing sensitive Legal and Court Orders.
- Represent the Ops voice in workshops, collaborating with Product and Technology teams to help automate manual tasks and design controls that are robust enough for a major bank but frictionless enough for a fintech.
- Conduct deep-dive reviews to ensure customer accounts stay within the Mettle and Boxed risk parameters, taking decisive action to offboard where required.
- Work closely with NatWest Group teams to ensure our name screening, legal orders, and customer exit processes are running smoothly.
- Drive quality standards: Support Team Leaders with process confirmation and quality control, spotting trends in analyst performance and partnering with Training teams to deliver targeted upskilling.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience solid experience in the first line of defence (1LOD), ideally with exposure to screening, legal orders, or customer offboarding
You’ll also demonstrate:
- The ability to work independently
- You can explain complex rationales clearly in writing and verbally, managing stakeholders across the business effectively.
- You are curious and confident in making risk decisions, able to clearly articulate the "why" behind your rationale.
- The ability to manipulate data (Excel/SQL) to spot trends or support an argument for process change.
- A passion for detecting and preventing financial crime
