Job Description

Pets, paws, love — easy win?
Hardly. It’s one of the most deceptively tricky creative challenges out there. We’re talking to 250M+ pet owners worldwide, in a space crowded with generic, over-cute content. Standing out — without losing heart — is where the real work begins.

That’s why we need you.

You’ll help us:

  • Find the “Coke formula” of pet content — iconic, ownable, and impossible to copy
  • Shape our brand where it actually lives: social first (yes, memes, formats, comments, chaos and all)
  • Win over younger audiences without terrifying the OG pet parents
  • Crack social media with bold, social-first ideas that feel native, surprising, and share-worthy

If you believe great branding doesn’t live in decks but in feeds — and that pet content can be smart, funny, and culturally relevant — we should talk 🐾

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Concepting & Content Strategy within Social Media Team
  • Develop (data-backed) content concepts and social-first creative ideas for social media channels, first and foremost Instagram and TikTok, followed by Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Translate brand, campaign, and product stories into platform-appropriate content.
  • Create original designs, compelling copy, and thumb-stopping headlines that reflect the brand voice and engage our audience.

Content Creation & Production

  • Create briefings for all kinds of content formats, from static info graphics over animated assets to short-form video formats
  • Actively support the creation of both static and motion assets with comprehensive design and copywriting skills
  • Work closely with video editors, designers, and copywriters to bring ideas to life in an engaging and brand-consistent way.
  • Contribute to the creation of master content and adapt assets for multi-channel use that serve as the foundation for local market adaptation. Work closely with the Social Media Team Lead and other regional Social Media Managers to ensure consistent implementation and execution across our European social media presence.

Collaboration & Insights Integration

  • Collaborate with the customer insights team and other departments to transform relevant data and trends into actionable content ideas
  • Bring a data-driven mindset to creative work, continuously iterating and improving based on performance and audience feedback
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director, design team, and video team to shape impactful campaigns
  • Act as a creative enabler: support and guide others across teams in developing content concepts, managing the creative conception process, and elevating the quality of ideas and execution

Qualifications

  • A strong creative sense paired with an eye for design and storytelling, especially in a fast-paced, social-first environment
  • The ability to write compelling, brand-consistent copy and create simple, visually appealing designs when needed
  • Proficiency in common design and motion tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, Canva, or similar platforms as well as social media platforms (e.g. Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest) and (first) experience in using multi-social posting programs (e.g. Sprinklr or similar)
  • Confidence in working cross-functionally with creatives, analysts, and marketers
  • A love for pets and a passion for creating content that adds value to pet parents' lives would be a plus
  • Bonus: Experience using AI tools for ideation, concept development, and content creation is a strong plus
