Senior Corporate Tax Manager (Advisory)

We are looking for a talented and commercially minded Senior Corporate Tax Advisory Manager to join our expanding tax advisory team in London. This is a key permanent appointment and a strategic hire to support the continued growth in our advisory offering, following the successful merger of Alliotts LLP with the Shaw Gibbs Group.

You will be a key leader of the advisory services for the firm, collaborating with a dynamic tax team, delivering high-value advisory work to an exciting client base that includes entrepreneurial businesses, international groups, and specialist sectors such as media and tech.

• CTA qualified, or ATT/ACA qualified with significant corporate tax advisory experience.
• Strong advisory experience gained within a UK professional services firm.
• Comfortable leading projects and engaging directly with clients.
• Experience managing a varied portfolio and delivering to deadlines.
• Solid understanding of international tax issues (desirable).
• Familiarity with CCH and Alphatax advantageous (training provided).

• Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely to clients and colleagues.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to client challenges.
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for team development.
• Well organised, with excellent time management and attention to detail.

• Corporate restructures and group reorganisations.
• R&D tax claims.
• Share schemes and employee incentives.
• International structuring and cross-border tax advice.
• Corporate transactions and due diligence.
• Property-related tax matters and corporate interest restrictions.
• Work closely with Partners and Directors to identify and develop tax planning opportunities.
• Act as a trusted adviser to clients, building strong, long-term relationships.
• Support business development, including preparing proposals and attending client meetings.
• Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their development and performance.
• Stay abreast of tax legislation and market trends, and share insights with the team.
• Collaborate across service lines and offices to provide integrated client solutions.
• 80/20 split biased to advisory.
