Job Summary

Job Description Summary: This position focuses on corporate, commercial and employment transactional work for Epiq Systems, Ltd. and its subsidiary companies including drafting, evaluating, and negotiating company contracts including service agreements, license agreements, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, commercial leases, vendor and supplier contracts, and other complex commercial agreements; developing and modifying agreement templates; assisting with client-requested RFPs/RFI; and assisting with collection efforts against delinquent clients. This position will also provide practical and regulatory assistance in Epiq’s flexible legal talent businesses. This position will be in the UK but will have responsibility across all of Epiq’s EMEA operations. This position will report to the Vice President of Legal.

A familiarity with corporate governance, employment law, UAE regulations, technology, and/or intellectual property is a plus. Must be familiar with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures relative to corporate law practice and rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals. This position performs a variety of tasks and is expected to coordinate with senior legal counsel and other members of the in-house law department team. Must collaborate with other departments company-wide. A wide degree of independence, innovation, leadership, and creativity is expected.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.

  • Experience: 6 years of experience in corporate law.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent analytical and research skills.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including an ability to concisely describe complex situations to business executives.
    • Excellent writing, drafting and negotiating skills.
    • 6+ years of substantive corporate law experience (top law firm or top law firm and in-house environments).
    • 6+ years of strong contract drafting and negotiation experience.

  • Certifications: Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an office environment and perform tasks that may require sitting, standing, and using office equipment.
