Our capabilities include OEM design, aftermarket services, engine accessory repairs, aircraft control components, and advanced avionics and digital airfield solutions.Our Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury, GBR is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Programs to join its high-energy, global Contracts and Compliance Team. You will report to the Director of Contracts and Compliance. On-site, hybrid, and remote work schedules will be considered.As the Senior Contracts Manager, you will……
  • Provide contractual support to the Commercial Aircraft Group’s OEM business teams in the US and UK. The OEM business’ customers include all major commercial aircraft customers, including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and COMAC. This support includes reviewing proposed customer agreements, developing contractual bid strategies and structuring risk minimization strategies for contract execution challenges.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to highly charged, ambiguous situations, with limited opportunity for research or consultation. These situations may involve potential disputes with customers.  The Senior Contracts Manager and the OEM Programs Business team will be forced to develop and execute strategies based on accumulated knowledge and experience with similar situations.
  • As a member of the CAG Contracts and Compliance Leadership team, develop and oversee policies and procedures to strengthen contracting and operational regulatory compliance for CAG and its international subsidiaries.
  • Collaborate with other Moog functional disciplines (Law, Trade Compliance, Tax, Risk Management, etc.) in managing the more complex aspects of international transactions including VAT and tax implications, INCOTERMS, letters of credit, offset programs and export and import compliance.
  • Train CAG program management personnel on Moog agreements, commercial terms and conditions Moog procedures; change management, risk management (including maintaining documentation related to potential supplier claims, disputes and litigation), contract provision evaluation, contractual drafting, and contract negotiations.
  • Perform the due diligence process for Moog acquisitions as related to contracting, export compliance and security.  Upon closing of the acquisition, you will assist the acquired entity with, assignment of contracts and novation of Moog responsibility for the acquisition.
  • Provide global support which may entail working off-hours to accommodate meetings/calls with other time zones.
  • Occasionally travel internationally and/or domestically.
To be considered for the Senior Contracts Manager role, you’ll typically need to bring with you…..
  • A master’s degree or JD and 10+ years of contract related experience, preferably in a multinational company.
  • A minimum of 12 years of advanced contracts experience, including contract negotiating; advanced legal drafting, and familiarity with the UCC. Extensive international experience required, preference for China, the EU and Brazil.
  • An extensive understanding of international transactional principles such as export licensing, imports, INCOTERMS, VAT, tariffs, etc.
  • Experience in defending against customer claims and preparing counterclaims.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft creative solutions to unique business problems with a cross-functional team, while operating under adversarial conditions.
  • Membership in a state bar is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in another language is highly desirable.
