About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 160 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Content Designer (12-month FTC) to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.

About the role

(Hybrid)

This isn’t just about words on screens — it’s about shaping how millions of travellers think, feel and act when planning their next trip.

As a Senior Content Designer (12-month FTC), you’ll sit at the heart of our Retention team, helping travellers stay connected to their plans long after that first search. From revisiting dream destinations to spotting the perfect moment to book, you’ll design content that keeps Skyscanner front-of-mind (and top-of-tabs).

You’ll work across both well-loved features like Drops and brand-new exploratory spaces — crafting experiences that help travellers discover, organise and act on their travel ideas. It’s equal parts strategy and craft, with plenty of room to experiment, influence direction, and ship meaningful work that reaches millions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Shaping engagement journeys: Lead content design across key experiences that help travellers discover opportunities and keep track of travel ideas over time
  • Crafting compelling messaging: Create clear, motivating content that drives action and brings travellers back again (and again)
  • Collaborating to refine experiences: Partner with Product and Design to test, iterate and continuously improve how we communicate value
  • Ensuring consistency of voice: Maintain a cohesive, human tone across platforms, touchpoints and features
  • Defining emerging experiences: Contribute to early-stage concepts, helping shape ideas before they fully take flight
  • Designing scalable systems: Build content patterns that flex and scale across evolving features and journeys
  • Simplifying complexity: Translate nuanced product ideas into intuitive, easy-to-navigate experiences travellers actually enjoy using

About you

  • Experienced in content design: You’ve worked in senior content design or UX writing roles within digital product teams and know how to deliver impact
  • Systems thinker: You’re comfortable working across feature ecosystems, not just polishing single flows
  • Exploration-friendly: You thrive in ambiguity and can shape content in early-stage, evolving product spaces
  • Balance-driven: You know how to blend inspiration with utility in consumer-facing products
  • Experimentation-savvy: You’ve contributed to testing and optimisation, using data to sharpen your content decisions
  • Impact-aware: You understand how content influences engagement, retention and user behaviour
  • Collaborative by nature: You confidently partner with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers and Engineers to bring ideas to life
