WWT’s Consulting Systems Architects (CSAs) are senior technology professionals with deep expertise across data centre domains, including networking, compute, virtualisation, and security. CSAs operate across the full customer engagement lifecycle, working with sales and delivery teams to shape, design, and assure technology solutions that address complex business challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.
As a Senior Consulting Systems Architect at WWT, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary consulting organisation, providing technical leadership from initial customer engagement and pre-sales solutioning through delivery assurance and post‑sales advisory. You will support customers across the Telecommunications and Managed Service Provider (MSP) sectors, ensuring solutions are both technically robust and aligned with customer strategy.
You will engage with advanced technology topics including modern virtualisation platforms, AI and accelerated workloads, and architectural trade-offs between x86 and ARM infrastructures.

You will design, position, and help realise high‑impact solutions that drive transformation and long‑term value for WWT customers. As a senior member of staff, you will collaborate with engineering, architecture, and sales teams to develop commercial services proposals, while also playing an active role in WWT GSP International go‑to‑market initiatives and internal capability development.
This role suits experienced consultants who enjoy influencing outcomes across both pre‑sales and delivery, and who are comfortable acting as a trusted technical authority with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Your Responsibilities
Consulting & Customer Partnership- Represent WWT’s core values across all customer, partner, and internal engagements.
- Build trusted, long-term advisory relationships with customers, OEMs, and partners.
- Work closely with Technical Account Managers (TAMs) and account teams to align solutions with customer strategy across the full engagement lifecycle.
- Act as a virtualisation advocate for WWT across the EMEA region.
- Shape customer engagements by translating business requirements into end‑to‑end technical solutions.
- Produce and own key pre‑sales artefacts, including technical designs, Bills of Materials, Levels of Effort, and technical descriptions.
- Present solutions to technical and non‑technical audiences, and lead technical defence during RFPs, bids, and business development activities.
- Contribute to regional go‑to‑market evolution and the development of repeatable offerings and services.
- Provide architectural leadership during delivery phases, ensuring solutions are implemented in line with agreed designs, standards, and customer objectives.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to delivery teams and junior engineers, ensuring sound design decisions and effective issue resolution.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers post‑sale, supporting optimisation, roadmap evolution, and follow‑on opportunities.
- Maintain strong engagement with senior customer stakeholders, advising on platform evolution and future-state architectures.
- Maintain broad expertise across virtualisation, data centre technologies, and adjacent domains, including awareness beyond your core specialisation.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously enhancing your own skills.
- Share insights with line management and the TAM community, contributing thought leadership that strengthens WWT’s regional positioning.
- Apply awareness of WWT’s core capabilities, including the Advanced Technology Center (ATC), Integration Centers, and Services portfolio, across customer engagements.
Who You Are
- 15+ years of experience in the technology industry
- Proven background in the Telecommunications sector
- Subject matter expert in Telco Cloud, Compute, Virtualisation, and Storage/Backup
- Industry certifications from vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Dell, VMware, hyperscalers, ISC², or equivalent
- Expert‑level certifications strongly preferred
- Engineering degree (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Fluent in English, with strong presentation and senior stakeholder engagement skills
- Motivated to contribute to WWT’s go‑to‑market strategy and internal capability growth
Place of Work
- Hybrid working model, (two days per week in the office) including customer and internal meetings
- Ability to travel periodically within and outside the UK, as required
