Wachsman is a global communications and strategy consultancy focused on advising the leaders of the new economy. Born in the blockchain industry, it is a critical partner to companies working across fintech and digital payments, banking, asset management, and B2B/B2C technology.

We work with pioneers of emerging industries to shape the way the world sees and understands them. Built for the digital and decentralised age, we provide our clients with a unique blend of advisory services spanning strategic and communications consulting; reputation, issues, and risk management; and public policy and regulation. We enable them to establish and defend their industry position as they drive digital transformation and navigate new challenges and opportunities.

Founded in 2015 with regional headquarters now in New York, Dublin, London and Singapore, Wachsman has solidified its position as a trusted advisor to some of the world’s most innovative companies, including in market entry, change management, product launches, mergers and acquisitions, corporate repositioning, and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial and highly skilled strategic communications professional to join our London office. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted strategic adviser and ensuring consistently exceptional client service and delivery.

As an integral member of our London team and a senior member of our global matrix, you’ll work closely with colleagues across regions and disciplines, bringing together the right expertise for each client and helping to drive high standards across accounts.

Duties:

  • Planning and executing highly successful, cross-border PR campaigns in close coordination with international account teams across the US, Dublin, and Singapore.
  • Managing day-to-day strategic communications for clients operating at the intersection of finance, emerging technology, and global markets.
  • Delivering exceptional client service to support client retention and organic growth.
  • Drafting, editing, and reviewing sophisticated press materials, thought leadership pieces, and strategic positioning documents.
  • Facilitating proactive tier-1 media relations through commentary, content creation, and high-value media relationships.
  • Embedding a culture of industry and media knowledge that gives us the edge to advise our clients in complex industries and secure media opportunities with key targets.
  • Leading a tight, high-performance team of PR professionals: allocating resources, managing account workloads, and driving hands-on professional development.
  • Driving reactive issues management and crisis response efforts on behalf of clients.
  • Conducting workshops, media training, and high-level strategic alignment meetings with senior executive stakeholders.
  • Bringing fresh ideas, entrepreneurial drive, and positive momentum as we continue to scale our operations globally and champion London as a primary strategic hub.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ recent PR agency experience leading media relations and client accounts.
  • Exceptional strategic writing, verbal communication, and narrative development skills.
  • Experience or strong curiosity in finance, fintech, crypto or Web3, or frontier technology (prior sector experience is a distinct advantage, but a hunger to master complex industries is essential).
  • Proven track record of operating successfully within a global matrix structure, collaborating across time zones and office locations.
  • Excellent knowledge of the tier-1, financial, and technology media landscapes.
  • Strong ability to think strategically, manage crisis situations, and communicate complex concepts with clarity and composure.
  • Passion for mentoring, coaching, and inspiring junior colleagues in a close-knit, high-visibility team environment.
  • High autonomy, strong attention to detail, and a desire to play an active role in driving agency culture.
