This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a blend of consulting, operational, and business development experience in legal services, professional services, or a similar industry with the ability and flexibility to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

The consultant will play a pivotal role in enhancing service delivery, optimizing processes, expanding into new markets, launching new services, and ensuring operational excellence. They will act as an extension of the SVP—monitoring client matters, identifying risks, leading digital transformation projects, and spearheading initiatives to enhance the consultative skills of our associates.

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Client & Service Delivery Oversight

  • Act as the SVP’s eyes and ears on strategic clients/client matters, proactively identifying and minimising potential risks or inefficiencies.
  • Provide strategic advisory and intervention when client engagements require recalibration.
  • Monitor service delivery quality and recommend improvements for better client outcomes.

Transformation & Automation

  • Work with functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives, identifying areas for automation, process optimization and operational excellence.
  • Identify innovative technology solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Work with internal teams to develop best-in-class operational frameworks.

Market Expansion & Business Growth

  • Support the expansion of existing contracting models into new geographies.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for new business growth, assisting in business development efforts.
  • Conduct market research to support new service launches and client acquisition strategies.

Internal Capability Building & Change Leadership

  • Participate in a project to enhance the consultative approach of our associates, equipping them with client-centric advisory skills.
  • Develop training programs, frameworks, and methodologies to strengthen internal expertise.
  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and market strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, legal services, or professional services transformation.
  • Strong track record in driving operational improvements, digital transformation, or business expansion.
  • Experience in client advisory, project management, and process optimization.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive new business.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in an ALSP, Big 4, or legal technology consulting is a plus.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive presence.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
