Overview
We are seeking a candidate to support the delivery of complex business and technology transformation programmes across the London Market and wider insurance sector. In this role, you will help clients address strategic, operational, and technology-driven challenges while working collaboratively with stakeholders and project teams. You will analyse current-state operating models, processes, and technology landscapes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, improve customer outcomes, and drive overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis activities across transformation initiatives covering areas such as coverholder onboarding and renewals, Delegated Authority governance, binder lifecycle management, bordereaux oversight, underwriting operations and operational excellence.
- Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and translate business needs into practical and actionable solutions that support client objectives and strategic priorities.
- Contribute to proposition development, thought leadership and market research activities, helping to identify emerging trends, industry challenges and opportunities for innovation within the insurance market.
- Support technology-enabled transformation initiatives, including workflow optimisation, data transformation, automation and emerging AI-driven solutions, working closely with business and technology stakeholders.
Job requirements
- Proven work experience within a London Market insurer, Lloyd’s syndicate, MGA, broker, Insurtech or consultancy firm supporting insurance clients. While there is no fixed minimum threshold of experience required working in these sectors, candidates for these roles would typically have had exposure to these sectors (or equivalent relevant experience) for at least three years.
- Demonstrable experience supporting business transformation, process optimization, operating model design or technology change initiatives within the insurance sector.
- Confident operating across both business and technology discussions with the ability to bridge the gap between operational stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to structure complex challenges, identify root causes and develop practical recommendations.
- Highly developed communication, presentation and facilitation skills to enable you to engage effectively with stakeholders across underwriting, operations, compliance, technology and executive teams.
- Curious mindset about how technology, data, automation and AI can improve insurance operations and client outcomes.
- Experience working with leading Delegated Authority and London Market technology platforms such as VIPR, Watertrace, DCOM, Velonetic, Distribind, AdvantageGo or similar solutions would be advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. An advanced degree (MBA, MSc, MA) and/or additional professional qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
