To make sure you’re the best you can be throughout the recruitment process, let us know if you need any extra adjustments to help you thrive.

The role
We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to join our growing Legal and Compliance function! Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring we stay on track with our regulatory obligations, while helping the business scale. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves turning complex regulatory requirements into practical, user-friendly solutions, we’d love to hear from you!

Your goal? To be a trusted compliance expert, helping our teams navigate the regulatory landscape with confidence. You’ll be a hands-on partner to the business, ensuring we not only meet our legal requirements but also deliver great customer outcomes while maintaining our high standards of operational compliance.
At Dojo, compliance isn’t just about ticking boxes—it’s about being proactive, innovative, and always looking for ways to improve. We need someone who is comfortable leading the way, making informed decisions, and working closely with different teams to embed compliance into everything we do.
What you’ll do...

  • Ensure our internal oversight aligns with FCA and other regulatory requirements (like FOS and PSR), while providing advice on rules and guidance.
  • Work closely with internal teams to embed collaborative compliance oversight—whether it’s reviewing processes or developing procedures.
  • Write and refine compliance policies, and help teams across the business understand and implement them. You’ll also deliver training to ensure everyone’s up to speed.
  • Review and question business proposals, ensuring they’ve taken regulatory requirements into account and deliver fair customer outcomes.
  • Assist with timely and accurate responses to external regulatory enquiries, particularly FCA reporting.
  • Depending on your experience, you’ll also supervise team members, guiding them through their compliance responsibilities.

What you’ll bring…

  • Extensive experience in compliance management, especially within payments (acquiring, card issuing), or a similar space.
  • In depth understanding of FCA regulations and can translate them into user-friendly, practical advice for teams across the business.
  • Strong experience in regulatory reporting, particularly within payments and credit.
  •  Ideally, you’ve worked in a fast-growth environment and are comfortable operating in different jurisdictions.
  • Solid understanding of implementing Consumer Duty and ensuring customer-focused outcomes.
  • An interest in payments technology and innovation, especially in an e-money or merchant acquiring business, will help you thrive here.
  • You’re not just a strategic thinker—you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the details when needed.

Dojo from the get-go

First launch was back in 2009. So with over 15 years in the payments industry, we’ve got a story to tell.

Dojo is built to soothe customer and consumer pain points across the world for over 140,000 customers.

And today, there’s over 1000 of us in multiple locations across the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.

Our mission is to empower businesses to thrive in the experience economy by creating the tools and tech that turn transactions into meaningful relationships.

We do that through sophisticated EPOS payments integrations, fast transactions, hospitality bookings, and a strong consumer restaurant app.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.
