Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?

Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

About This Role

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Player Health Manager to act as a studio-facing community strategy partner across PlayStation’s first-party portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Community Operations & Strategy Lead, you will be one of the founding members of a central Community team that provides strategy, standards, and scale for PlayStation Studios and their player-first community operations.

Working across some of the largest IPs in gaming, this role will be integral to shaping the strategy and central operations supporting community and marketing teams. This is a role for a community leader in gaming who can also execute: equally credible presenting a title community strategy to studio leadership and leaning into game launch-window operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the relationship with a slate of PlayStation Studios community teams, acting as the primary center of excellence stakeholder from early development through launch and live.
  • Consult on and co-author community strategies tied to marketing GTM (go-to-market) positioning, milestones, and long-term franchise goals.
  • Embed with development, marketing, and publishing teams to ensure community is present in planning and development.
  • Brief, oversee, and quality-assure agency partners delivering moderation, always-on engagement, and scaled channel support.
  • Lead the operations, vendor management, and strategy for Community Council programs in alignment with Games Marketing, PS Studio community teams, PR, and the Global Influencer team.
  • Run sentiment monitoring and reporting against central measurement standards; deliver launch impact readouts and live-phase intelligence.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years in community management or communications for game titles, including leading community for major launches and/or live-service titles at scale.
  • Demonstrable experience authoring community strategy, not only executing it, and presenting it to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience briefing and managing agencies or vendors delivering community, moderation, or social services.
  • Deep working knowledge of Discord, Reddit, and social platforms, including governance, moderation systems, and platform safety.
  • Strong cross-functional operator: comfortable aligning development, marketing, PR, influencer, and publishing stakeholders.
  • Data-informed: able to work with social listening, sentiment, and engagement reporting to drive decisions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a platform, publisher, or multi-studio portfolio environment.
  • Experience with community programs, player advisory panels, or structured feedback programs.
  • Experience supporting major launches, beat calendars, or GTM community plans.

Please note, Sony Interactive Entertainment conducts background checks at the offer stage for all new employees (which may include criminal background checks for some roles) and will need to process personal information to support these checks.
