How you'll make an impact


Join our high-energy global communications team on a 12-month fixed term contract and help shape how we tell Xero’s innovation story to the world. At Xero, we’re passionate about making life better for small businesses, and our Product & Technology Communications team plays a key role in sharing how our technology drives real impact. In this role, you’ll create and deliver strategic communications that highlight Xero’s product and technology advancements, working closely with teams across the business to craft compelling narratives for customers, partners, media, and stakeholders. If you’re a skilled storyteller with a knack for simplifying complex ideas, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.


What you'll do


• Develop and execute communications plans with product marketing and GTM leads to support business strategy and brand growth.

• Communicate product changes effectively to ensure seamless customer experiences.

• Create global communication assets, including media releases, blogs, FAQs, and messaging frameworks.

• Translate technical information into engaging, proactive, and reactive content.

• Craft compelling content for Xerocon, including scripts, campaign launches, presentations, and media releases.

• Partner with the Business Communications team and PR agency to strengthen Xero’s innovation narrative.

• Support thought leadership by developing key topics and content across product portfolios.

• Work with global stakeholders across time zones to execute strategic projects.

• Provide strategic communications advice to senior leaders, ensuring brand protection and risk mitigation.


What you'll bring with you


• Proven ability to deliver effective, measurable communication strategies & campaigns.

• Strong writing and storytelling skills, including digesting technical information into clear, engaging content.

• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and balancing priorities.

• Excellent stakeholder management, keeping teams informed on progress, risks, and updates.

• Confidence to challenge ideas and advocate for the best storytelling approach.

• Experience in scriptwriting for executive presentations is advantageous.
