About this role:
Join Wells Fargo's Loan Operations team as a Senior Commercial Loan Servicing Representative. Your role involves the daily processing of various loan activities within the LoanIQ system. Responsibilities include managing drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and more for different types of loans. You will also handle principal, interest, and fee collections, along with reviewing and resolving control report exceptions.

In this role, you will:
  • Processing of daily drawdown, rollover, repayment, prepayment, rate fixing and all aspects of the loan processing area relating to Agency, bi lateral, trade discounts and any other related facilities within LoanIQ system.
  • Claiming and collection of principal, interest and fees relating to the above products.
  • Review and clear control report exceptions.
  • Review procedures on a regular basis.
  • Provide solutions to operational problems and suggest improvement to the workflow.
  • Process self-audits on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Ensure that all lending transactions are booked in adherence to loan agreement timings.
  • Ensure that agent notifications agree with the banks accounting systems.
  • Ensure that all tasks are processed to the highest standards in accordance with cut off times (Nostro payments, Treasury cut off times etc.).
  • Complete daily cash reconciliations to a high standard, ensuring no aged items exceed agreed tolerances.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Commercial Loan Servicing, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Knowledge of Loan Agency Administration and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Trade products and processing advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of LoanIQ,
  • Customer-orientated in approach with strong communication skills and initiative
  • Control mind-set who uses experience and initiative to proactively risk manage the business
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Teamwork, organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Proactive and self-motivated, eye for detail.
  • Proficient in the use of MS office including word and excel.

  • Active participation in the identification of control weaknesses.
  • Document & escalate all issues using the Operational Risk framework
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Operational Risk issues and proactively work to mitigate.
  • Demonstrate a firm understanding of all procedures and contribute to the ongoing review of same.
  • Ensure all weekly KRI control reporting is completed with any breaks cleared in a timely manner.
Process improvements:
  • Demonstrate initiative when it comes to suggesting process improvements that add value to the team from the following perspectives: cost, efficiency, flexibility and time.
  • Take a hands-on role process improvement development.
Relationship building:
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to assist team members.
  • Represent Loan Operations through interactions with internal & external stakeholders in a confident and helpful manner.
Communication:
  • Develop ability to assess items that require escalation, ensuring that communication is clear, factual and executed in a time sensitive manner.
