Are you ready to be at the heart of our sales growth and financial strategy? As our Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping SumUp's commercial success.

You'll partner directly with our VP of Sales, Sales Operations, Analytics, and Finance teams to ensure our financial objectives are perfectly aligned with sales execution across all channels. This isn't just about numbers; it's about providing the strategic insights that optimise our sales activities and incentivise our sales agents for maximum impact. This is an opportunity to directly influence our sales motion, optimise performance, and drive significant business growth, all while taking ownership of critical strategic projects. If you're passionate about leveraging data and strategy to unlock immense commercial potential, this role is for you.

What you'll do

  • Revenue Planning & Forecasting -  Develop detailed revenue plans based on growth objectives, historical benchmarks, and external marketplace trends, collaborating with Finance to ensure consistency in methodology and tooling.
  • Target Setting & Performance Tracking - Partner with Finance and Sales teams to establish annual and monthly revenue targets, and implement robust tracking and visibility systems to monitor performance against those targets.
  • Scenario Planning & Modelling - Conduct scenario planning to model potential revenue outcomes under various channel strategies and operational conditions, providing critical insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Revenue Optimisation - Analyse and drive revenue optimisation strategies, including upselling, cross-selling initiatives, and new product launches, to maximise revenue generation.
  • Funnel Analysis & Optimisation - Provide actionable insights into funnel health, conversion rates, and deal velocity to optimise channel execution and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Sales Process Improvement - Collaborate with Sales Operations teams to refine sales processes, tools, and tactics, enabling faster and more efficient deal closures and increased revenue.
  • Merchant Activation Analysis - Measure merchant activation rates and identify areas for improvement in the onboarding process to maximize customer lifetime value.

You'll be great for this position if

  • You have proven experience working with Sales organisations in an FP&A, Strategy & Operations or Revenue Planning capacity
  • You have advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with strong modelling, forecasting, and data manipulation skills.
  • You have knowledge of SaaS and payments business models
  • You’re self-driven, proactive, pragmatic and have a can-do attitude.
  • You have a growth-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying improvements and driving innovation.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are confident engaging in challenging conversation and with senior stakeholders.

Why you should join SumUp
