As the Senior Commercial Finance Manager for JD UK & ROI, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, and commercial reporting for JD UK & ROI business. This role entails strategic financial management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring sound financial decision-making across multiple business units.

·       Working rota – Mon-Fri

·       Working hours – 40 hours

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you'll be doing the following: 

  • Business Partnership and Support:
    • Provide financial support to the Retail Operation teams as well as the Centres of Excellence.
  • Budget and Forecast Management:
    • Manage the business units Budget and Reforecast process for your area.
  • Collaboration with specialist Finance Teams:
    • Work closely with specialist Finance teams (Distribution, Digital, Property) to deliver a coherent full Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet forecast.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Present financial information to senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic Support and Risk Assessment:
    • Partner, support, and challenge the Group’s operational departments by producing financial models, conducting scenario analyses, and assessing risks to support decision-making and business growth.
    • Understand local market anomalies and interpret this into comparable information.
  • Team Culture and Development:
    • Embed a team culture aligned with the Group’s core values.
    • Support the continuous development of your team.
  • Financial Oversight & Commercial Reporting:
    • Support cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure forecasting.
    • Review and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly Commercial reporting and analysis.
  • Leadership:
    • Manage a team of two, overseeing all aspects of financial planning and analysis.
    • Manage the team to deliver the region’s Budget and Reforecast process.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or Equivalent):
  • Industry Expertise (Retail or Fashion):
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, enthusiasm, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proven management experience is essential.
