Job Details  

  • Leading a team of senior Finance colleagues in creating a centre of excellence for commercial modelling 

  • Working alongside Finance Business Partners in leading the delivery of Retail Income, Underwriting and expense budgeting and forecasting, managing the business to deliver outputs to Finance and overseeing financial modelling outputs, challenging teams to set suitably stretching plans 

  • Setting strategic direction with Commercial and Underwriting teams across financial, key deliverables and oversee expense budgeting/forecasting for assigned business areas

  • Accountable for ensuring assigned business areas are delivering income and expenses in line with Group three year plan, clearly articulating and providing insight on any variances and course correcting 

  • Act as a Business Partner and trusted advisor to Executive and Leadership teams, ensuring Finance engagement in key Commercial decisions and produce rich and insightful reports

  • Creation of next generation financial forecasting, working with technology and data to deliver regularly updated models, overseeing all aspects of financial model creation and refinement 

  • Building deep stakeholder relationships with executive and direct reports, ability to work across all levels, from operational to strategic outcomes. Ensuring ability to effectively challenge and drive performance 

  • Setting direction of the team and ensuring adequate resourced deployed effectively and leading/developing direct reports in order to deliver high quality service to the business

Skills we would love you to have   

  • Solid experience working within General Insurance

  • Experience in delivery roles within Financial Modelling teams  

  • Commercial acumen and ability to articulate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders 

  • Proven ability to analyse numerical data with excellent report writing and communication skills 

  • Exposure and ability to build strong relationships with Senior Leaders  

  • Financial planning and budgetary experience 

  • Change management – ability to effect change across Finance and wider organisation

Salary – Attractive salary based on experience + car allowance (pay reviews also completed each year)
