Job Description

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our Cloud Foundations team. You will support designing, operating and maintaining our multi cloud network infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in multi-region and multi-cloud network architecture to ensure optimal performance, security and scalability across our cloud environments.

How We Work

We operate on a strong belief in automation, programmatic implementation, and reusable design. We’re looking for people who can step back and think holistically about the ecosystem, but also follow through and help implement the design; drawing on the resources across the rest of the platform tribe.

As we grow, managing our cloud networks becomes increasingly complex at scale. We need to sustain this growth by continuously iterating on the services we run, with a focus on availability, security, and ease of use. We’re looking for an engineer with relevant experience who can analyse complex requirements and deliver simple solutions to help our teams achieve our mission with speed and confidence.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Design, implement, and maintain multi-region cloud network infrastructures across AWS and GCP, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Automate network infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Python, or other technologies to drive efficiency and operational consistency.

  • Analyse network architecture, cloud connectivity, and routing performance to identify optimisation opportunities, implementing solutions to enhance reliability and scalability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud network solutions, while maintaining alignment with organisational goals and best practices.

What You Need

We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!

  • Significant years of experience in network engineering, with a strong emphasis in cloud networking (AWS and/or GCP).

  • Strong experience with AWS services such as VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, and all relevant components.

  • Strong experience in designing and implementing network architectures in GCP, preferably in a hybrid setup with AWS

  • Solid understanding of network security principles, encryption standards, and compliance requirements in regulated environments.

  • Skilled in using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible) or programming (such as Python but other languages are welcome) to manage network automation.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across distributed teams.
