You'll work closely with our infrastructure (DevOps) and development teams to design, implement, and optimise our new cloud architecture to meet key requirements such as scalability, security, and highly available solutions. While the day to day role will be focused on our media solutions, you will play a key role in setting the cloud strategy of the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end migration of our media workloads to AWS

  • Contribute, define and implement cloud architecture solutions

  • Design, implement, and optimise scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of our cloud solutions

  • Share cloud knowledge and best practices with colleagues, and mentor team members as needed

  • Work with the senior leadership to drive the strategy for our cloud capability, looking well beyond the projects we’re currently working on

  • Identify any gaps/inefficiencies in our core cloud capabilities, and champion the necessary improvements by engaging with senior leadership to ensure they’re prioritised

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience leading successful AWS migration projects and projects from architecture through to deployment

  • Experience in cloud architecture with AWS or other cloud providers using core services such as compute, storage, databases and serverless (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, etc.)

  • The ability to weigh up multiple solutions to a problem against different priorities, e.g. security, performance, maintenance, cost and time

  • A broad technology background and the ability to articulate architecture approaches and decisions to technical and non-technical audiences alike

  • Strong communication (both written and verbal), collaboration, and problem-solving skills

If you have any of these, bonus points:

  • Experience in sports technology or media or data-driven industries

  • Experience of Security, GDPR and PII data handling principles

  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Proficiency in one of the following areas: data engineering tools and technologies (Java, SQL, ETL, etc.), software development design and deployment background for live video or data processing solutions

  • Familiarity and experience with implementing and designing solutions with data processing (ETL), machine learning and data analytics tools

  • Experience with automation, CI/CD, and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins)

  • Knowledge of networking, security, and IAM best practices

  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP)

  • Cloud Certified Solutions Architect - Minimum Associate certified (AWS, GCP, etc)
