Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Senior Client Services Executive to join Schroders Wealth Management. You will work alongside a team of Portfolio Managers and Directors and play a key role within the account team, including responsibility for managing a small team of Client Service Executives. In some cases, you will be the first point of contact for clients, handling day-to-day queries and administrative requests.

 

You will take a proactive approach to delivering excellent client service, developing strong technical knowledge of our processes and systems to ensure clients receive a seamless experience and that accounts run smoothly. An essential part of the role is clear communication and coordination, keeping Portfolio Managers informed and up to date, liaising across internal teams to resolve client issues, and maintaining accurate records.

The base

We have been in 1LWP since 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.

 

The team

We are one of the largest UK-based wealth management firm, headquartered in London but with offices around the country. We help private clients, families, charities and some institutions meet their long term goals by offering our expertise in investment, wealth planning, lending and family office services.  We draw on the resources of the Schroders group, as well as having our own in house investment team.

 

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Directors and develop a strong understanding of the needs of the clients you support; contribute to building relationships of trust.

  • Handle client administration promptly and accurately, including cash transfer requests and monitoring overdrafts (where applicable).

  • Manage onboarding for new clients and support transitions of assets.

  • Maintain accurate client records, including static data and authorised signatory lists.

  • Help ensure client accounts are compliant and aligned with relevant regulation, policies and procedures.

  • Act as a point of contact for clients and professional advisers, responding to enquiries in a timely manner and maintaining appropriate records of actions and responses.

  • Maintain regular communication with the client team to manage queries, priorities and outstanding tasks.

  • Manage the production and distribution of client reporting (e.g., portfolio valuations and tax reporting), particularly at quarter-end.

  • Contribute to client service and internal process initiatives and committees as required; build a strong internal network and awareness of client service themes affecting the business.

  • Work closely with Operations and other internal teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end client experience.

  • Attend client meetings with Portfolio Managers and Directors as required.

  • Take responsibility for systems training, user testing, and continuous improvement of internal processes.

  • Share best practice across the business and support consistency of high service standards.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • A proven track record in a client-service role; experience within financial services is preferred.

  • Experience of working with third-party custodians.

  • Experience/awareness of servicing US persons/citizens.

  • Prior team lead or management experience is desirable.

  • A proactive, client-focused mindset and a genuine interest in helping clients.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and deliver high volumes of work accurately.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across multiple stakeholders.
