Role Outline:

 

The purpose of the role is to manage defined client accounts independently, acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day and strategic discussions. The Senior Client Manager ensures smooth operations, drives strategic initiatives, and creates opportunities for specialists to contribute fully. This role combines leadership, strategic consulting, project management, and financial accountability to deliver exceptional client service and agency growth. 

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Act as, independent and main point of contact in the day to day and strategic discussions for the designated clients  

  • Management of the clients regarding efficient work deployment in consideration of the client contract  

  • Fee and bonus control as well as alignment of client management based on contractually) defined KPIs  

  • Independent processing of briefings and client requests with critical consideration  

  • Independent problem solving for clients' problems (sense for the right time to involve the supervisor)  

  • Take all necessary measures to be a trusted partner for the clients, understand their business, issues, opportunities and objectives, consequently ensuring maximum value for the agency’s services  

  • Work with the Managing Director (MD), Client Director (CD), Head of Investment and planners to proactively develop ideas, strategic proposals and presentations aimed at driving the client’s business forward and, by doing so, developing growth revenue for  
    the agency  

  • Project management for client communication plans including timelines, budget, execution, reporting, learnings, insights, invoicing, etc.   

  • Oversees processes to ensure smooth financial operations 

  • Support Client Director with budget planning and forecasting as well as client requests 

  • Responsible, within global clients, to follow the guidance, rules, and answer to all the tasks in the professional and timely manner  

  • Regular, proactive reporting of all client activities to the client 

  • Assist the CD in developing a clear annual plan for the development of each account  

  • Works collaboratively across Dentsu and across network as needed – uses good knowledge of products and services to drive business value for clients and Dentsu  

  • Reviews plans to drive greater margin and value through innovation and better and different ways of working  

  • Effectively support and motivate internal team to produce best in class work  

  • Cross- and Up-selling of Dentsu and Merkle services  

  • Advising clients on holistic media strategies  

  • Developing clients in media landscape transformation and opportunities that media provides  

  • Independent derivation of client strategies - confidence and expertise in all media questions 

  • Confidence in consulting discussions and independent presentation of projects to clients  

  • Independent adherence to deadlines and quality standards of documents
