About the Team and Role

eBay Live is transforming the shopping experience - blending community, culture, and commerce through live video. Sellers stream in real time, connect with buyers, and bring authenticity to every purchase. We’re building the future of live commerce at scale, and we’re looking for leaders who can build the next chapter.

We’re seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead one of eBay Live’s largest and fastest-growing category portfolios - Collectibles. You’ll define strategy, drive GMV, and develop the programs that connect sellers, buyers, and content.

In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with Business Development, Programming, and Marketing to build category health, optimise incentives, and scale global performance. You’ll combine creative storytelling with operational rigour to build repeatable, data-driven success across your verticals.

What Will Accomplish
  • Own category strategy, performance, and growth roadmap for your assigned vertical(s).

  • Support and mentor a team of Category Managers or Specialists.

  • Build data-driven plans to scale GMV, retention, and buyer engagement.

  • Oversee incentive allocation and return on investment governance across your portfolio.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to plan tentpole programming and promotional campaigns.

  • Partner with Business Development to identify and onboard high-value sellers.

  • Forecast category performance and represent your portfolio in business reviews.

  • Lead cross-market or global expansion initiatives.

What you will bring: 

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, e-commerce, or partner strategy.

  • Proven record of driving GMV growth and managing high-performing seller portfolios.

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator.

  • Data-driven, strategic thinker who can balance creative and operational priorities.

  • Outstanding communicator with experience influencing at senior levels.

  • Passionate about live commerce, community engagement, and innovation.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to support events including at weekends
